Privacy Statement Netherlands Funeral Museum (Museum Tot Zover)
 

As a museum and knowledge center you communicate with your visitors, supervise your exhibitions and deal wisely with your employees. In addition, it is inevitable that you also register data of people, but we as a museum want to handle it with extreme care in all cases. That is why we like to be transparent about what data we collect and what we do with it. Some of that information is personal, while others are not. We are happy to explain this to you below:

1. When you visit our website, it is recorded in which order and for how long someone views the pages of our website. This is done automatically with the help of  cookies. This registration is done anonymously: it is therefore not real personal data. We can improve our website by analyzing this visitor data.

2. Museum Tot Zover uses Google Analytics to keep track of how users use the website and how effectively the website can be found on Google search result pages. The information thus obtained, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to keep track of how our website is used, to provide reports about the website to friends of the National War and Resistance Museum. Google can provide this information to third parties if they are legally obliged to do so, or if these third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Museum Tot Zover has no influence on this.

3. Museum Tot Zover has not given Google permission to use analytics information obtained via the Museum Tot Zover website for other Google services.

4. Museum Tot Zover takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. The Museum Tot Zover website uses a reliable SSL certificate to ensure that your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands.

5. We register the name, address, date of birth, email address and telephone number of people who donate, or loan objects and documents to the museum. This way we can always trace from whom we got those items. That information is therefore constantly stored in our collection database and our paper archive. This data is not shared with other parties.

6. We register the name, address and possibly the email address and telephone number, of people who support our museum financially as donors. We use this data to send requests for a donation every year and to inform them about what we organize for our donors.

7. To inform people about activities, we work with different mailing lists: newsletter Museum Tot Zover, invitations openings / events Museum Tot Zover, invitations Funeraire Academy and the press list. You are registered on these lists at your own request. For these lists we note the name, e-mail address and in some cases also postal address. You can always easily unsubscribe from these mailings. Representatives of the press are in many cases included in the press list at their own invitation, in other cases the publicly findable e-mail address is used. In our opinion, it is in keeping with the nature of journalism that people should be available. Representatives of the press can also easily unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time.

8. We only provide your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of an agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation.

9. Finally, of course we record personal information of our employees, such as name, address, date of birth, IBAN number and emergency contact details. The reasons for this are different. Of course this concerns periodic payments, but the government also asks us to register, for example, the number of ID card's or passport's. This is very personal information. Where necessary, it is also provided to the company that processes our salaries. This is logical, but we believe that care must also be paramount in this respect and we contractually guarantee this with the supplier. Also important: any person whose personal data we register may access it and also order us to have his or her data removed from our files.
